La Carlota - Parque Verde Urbano

Submitted as a part of a master planning service proposal to redevelop the 255-acres La Carlota Airport site in Caracus, the la Carlota preliminary vision master plan shows the importance of phasing and districting when developing a large urban site.  Conceptualized as a large green urban park that is an extension to an existing green park to the north, public buildings, such as convention center, cultural museums, a sports stadium will be introduced sequentially to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Caracus while simultaneously allowing the urban green park to continue to evolve organically around a man-made lake.  Public plazas located throughout the park will create large spaces where the public can gather for civic and recreational events.
