Located in a crystal clear shallow bay, this man-made residential island project contains 5 high-end residential pods each containing 15 apartment units. With a combined total of approximately 200,000 SF for each pod community, the experimental prototype can be repeated along the entire coast. The modern architectural language is inspired by the metaphor of an eroded sea shell.
The proposed luxurious residential facility will incorporate the latest system technologies with personalized concierge services and resort amenities. While the island residents will share community amenities, clubhouse and marina, each unit will feature its own exterior entertainment area with indoor/outdoor lap pool off the main living spaces.
This concept design proposal was showcased in the book titled “Superlative Emirates: The New Dimension of Urban Design” published by DAAB in 2011.
