Esplanade Urban Mixed-Use Development Design Options

Role: Project Designer

Some of the many earlier design iterations completed during a design visioning session in Dubai at the beginning of the project to analyze ideal program mix for this urban mixed-use development, these schemes utilize bold sweeping curvilinear architectural vocabulary to generate visual cohesiveness between the individual retail blocks and the future high-rise towers and to create an unique identity for the entire development.

The curvilinear forms further delineate the major outdoor entertainment plazas and create fluid pedestrian flow between each zone.  The partially covered courtyards will host various shows both during the day and in the evening to celebrate the multifaceted culture of Dubai
